Abstract
In recent years, Peer-to-peer lending (P2P lending) has risen, and the growth rate of the loan market has increased year by year. P2P lending is the matching of personal borrowing and investment needs through online platforms, and repayment is based on the number of periods and interest stipulated in the contract. However, P2P lending still has problems with security, transaction efficiency, and the risk of debt overruns, leading to increased investment risks.
This research uses smart contracts under the blockchain architecture as a transaction mechanism for P2P lending, and uses planned behavior theory (Ajzen & Madden, 1986) and technology acceptance models (Davis, Bagozzi, Warshaw, 1989) to explore behavior. Through perceiving ease of use, perceiving usefulness, attitude, and intention to explore the operation behavior of P2P lending, and increase the constructs that influence investment behavior: trust, perceived risk, and perceived benefits, and explore the investment factors that affect P2P lending.
This study found that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have a positive and significant impact on attitudes, and attitudes also affect intention. The difficulty of the operation process and whether it can achieve the purpose of lending are the main factors affecting the use of smart contracts to assist P2P lending.
