Abstract
For modern society, the Internet has become an indispensable part of our lives. In this situation, information security has also become one of the most important issues for enterprise. Most enterprise believe that information security protection facilities and information security policies is comprehensive enough to protect them from information security incidents and a huge number of waste which caused by careless employees. However some research confirms that although the public’s security awareness enhanced a lot, the frequency of security incidents and the amount of losses still risen per year, and excessive security policies only caused employees to feel tedious and inconvenient, become moral disengagement, then won’t willing to follow the information security policies. This study sort out several factors that affect employees’ information security policies violation intention, discuss their impact on moral disengagement, and knowing employees’ violation intention.
In this study, 226 valid samples were collected using the online survey. The results showed that organizational identification and social support have a negative impact on employees’ moral disengagement, and moral disengagement had a significant and positive effect on employees’ information security policies violation intention. The impact of job engagement on violation intention is not significant. Finally, we expect that this research can help other researchers focus on the relevant fields.
