本文對「台灣政黨的持續與變遷」所提供的數據進行分析，透過國內最年長的政黨－國民黨2000年至2010年的資料，檢視Harmel及Janda的政黨轉型整合理論，對於政黨內部因素、外部刺激各挑選一個自變項：黨主席的轉換、糟糕的選舉表現，驗證其假設在臺灣的政黨是否具有解釋力。
關於外部刺激，選舉是最主要的影響因素，本文梳理這段期間的國民黨參與總統大選與直轄市市長的選舉表現情形，援用Harmel及Janda的政黨轉型整合理論，本文對「台灣政黨的持續與變遷」資料庫中的制度化、執政位置、議題取向等會影響選舉結果的指標之實證分析，發現敗選確實會造成政黨的轉型；關於政黨內部因素，同樣援用政黨轉型整合理論就「台灣政黨的持續與變遷」資料庫中的組織程度、權力集中化等指標進行數據分析，卻因為這段期間國民黨黨主席的產生與其聲望有高度關聯，國民黨黨主席的更換並不一定會影響到其政黨轉型，所以政黨內部因素就國民黨的政黨轉型而言不一定有解釋力。

This article analyzes the data provided by "The Continuity and Changes of Taiwan’s Political Parties". Through the data from 2000 to 2010 of the Kuomintang, the oldest political party in China, we examine Harmel and Janda’s theory of party transformation and integration. Stimulates each to choose an independent variable： the change of party chairman, poor election performance, and verify whether the hypothetical party in Taiwan has explanatory power.
Regarding external stimulus, elections are the most important factor. This article sorts out the performance of the Kuomintang in the presidential election and the election of the mayors of municipalities during this period, using Harmel and Janda’s theory of party transformation and integration. An empirical analysis of indicators in the database that affect election results, such as institutionalization, ruling position, and topic orientation, found that losing an election does cause changes in the political party. Regarding the internal factors of a party, the theory of party transformation and integration is also used to refer to the "continuity of Taiwan’s political parties." Data analysis is conducted on indicators such as the degree of organization and centralization of power in the "Changes" database. However, because the appearance of the KMT chairman during this period is highly related to his prestige. The replacement of the KMT chairman is not It will definitely affect the changes of its party, so the internal factors of the party may not be explanatory for the party changes of the Kuomintang.
