中國自1978年改革開放以來，經濟快速發展進而帶動整體國力之上升，而歐盟的一體化進程亦日趨成熟，雙方皆成為世界上重要的經濟體之一，基於經濟合作的需要，中歐關係日益密切，並藉此擴散到政治、科技、文教等領域之交流與合作，雙方致力於構築長期穩定的「全面戰略夥伴關係」。本文依據現實主義之觀點，以「文獻分析法」來分析中國與歐盟在政治與經濟上之交流與互動，檢視雙方遇到的衝突與摩擦，以及在何種戰略利益考量下化解困境。雖然中歐政治制度與意識形態大相逕庭，彼此在交流中不時遇到分歧，例如貿易逆差、人權議題、「市場經濟地位」等，然而為維護中歐彼此間的經貿利益，及避免對立可能造成的負面衝擊，故不論是政治議題或經濟議題，雙方皆試圖透過高層對話增進了解並化解衝突，使中歐關係能夠持續且密切發展。

Since China’s economic reform in 1978, the rapid economic growth has brought about the rising of China’s power as a whole. Meanwhile, the integration process of the European Union is still on move. Both, China and the European Union have steadily developed their power and influence to be two of the most important global economies. Under these circumstances, given the need for economic cooperation among them, interests of China and the European Union have become more and more interrelated and even interdependent, expanding the originally pure economic relations to comprise the fields of politics, technology, and social issues. This thesis is based on the document analysis method and realism theories to study the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the EU. The conflicts and agreements resulting from this complex relationship and how the two sides deal with the challenges related to the huge differences in political and social views will be analyzed. No doubt there are major issues between the two sides, especially regarding political system and ideologies, and these issues, have directly or indirectly affected the bilateral relationship, nevertheless, in order to preserve their national interests, both sides have managed to deal even with the more serious topics, namely human rights and trade disparity, among others. The findings of this research show that regarding to economic, as well as political and ideological issues, when faced with major conflict of interests, China and the EU have resulted to calm and planed negotiations to solve these differences and reaching mutually satisfying compromise.
