隨著世界各國政府努力全面照顧弱勢群體,社會企業應運而生,並積極尋求解決這些問題的方法。然而,世界上大多數社會企業經常花太多時間和金錢來開發新項目以滿足不同的社會需求,但是,相似的項目通常仍在重複進行。
本研究旨在研究社會企業連鎖化為一種擴展策略,討論其動機、商業模式及成功因素。提供資訊予社會企業工作者及組織作為個人創業與社會企業經營為參考,進而改善社會企業的商業模式,進而擴大社會企業規模及影響力。
本文採用個案分析法及半結構式訪談,以兩個不同性質的國際社會特許經營企業為例:黑暗對話企業(Dialogue Social Enterprise GmbH)和大誌雜誌(The Big Issue),其個案成功開發並創新了具有高度全球化特點的社會企業連鎖商業模式,進而探討“黑暗對話企業”和“大誌雜誌”實施社會連鎖經營模式的成功因素進行了分析,並了解相關背景等詳細企業信息,探討組織的目的和動機,分析了該組織的業務擴展模型和策略。本研究發現在台灣社會企業連鎖的成功因素,強調了通過產品獨特性、國際品牌力和媒體效應、服務和產品標準化以及資源共享來擴大社會企業規模及影響力。
Abstract
As governments around the world are struggling to take full and comprehensive care of underprivileged groups, social enterprises have emerged to actively search for solutions to those problems. Most of the social enterprises around the world often spend too much time and money on developing new projects to achieve social needs, however, similar work is usually in progress.
To achieve this, empirical researches must be conducted to investigate social franchising models as a scaling strategy and exploring the key factors with the perspective of social franchise. This study provides social enterprise entrepreneurs and organizations as a reference for individual entrepreneurship and social enterprise management, thereby improving the business model of social enterprises, and then expanding the scale and social influence of social enterprises.
Case study and semi-structured interview are used to collect data, taking two international social franchise enterprises in different areas as research: Dialogue Social Enterprise GmbH and The Big Issue, have successfully developed and innovated a social enterprise business model with the special common feature of high degree of globalization. This study provides the analysis of success factors of the implementation of social franchising model, with the support of case studies regarding the two international social franchise enterprises in different areas., Dialogue Social Enterprise and The Big Issue, giving details about the background and status, exploring the purpose and motivation of the organizations, analyzing the business model and strategy for globalization and franchising, and demonstrating the competitive advantages operating in the global market. This research was conducted the success factors of social enterprise franchises in Taiwan, emphasizing the scale expansion and social influence of social enterprise through product uniqueness, international brand and media effects, service and product standardization, and resource sharing.
