  • Abstract The purposes of this study were to investigate how ethical leadership is related to counterproductive work behavior, and to examine whether organizational commitment acts as a mediator between ethical leadership and counterproductive work behavior. Using an anonymous questionnaire survey, the sample was comprised of 352 employees working in different industries in Taiwan. The data and hypotheses were analyzed by using hierarchical regression. The results revealed that employees’ affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment partially mediated the relationship between ethical leadership and counterproductive work behavior.
