  • Abstract The subject of the essay is to explain Rorty's view of Truth and how he responds to the issue of relativism, because the pragmatism and the traditional view of Truth are very different, he takes the coherence pragmatism Position, Rorty's Truth would be criticized the criticism of relativism. And in his view of Truth, and also let his other areas will naturally be different, such as in the cultural point of view, political views, language views, etc., but because he believes that the public priority over the private, so if we talking about Truth, we can not only by a way of personal meditation.
I think that if the connection of Rorty's views is unclear, I cannot fully understand some of the questions, such as why Rorty thinks that the private sphere and public sphere are divided , and why does he think we needed the post-philosophical culture now, why the language is only a tool, and what the relationship between such a linguistic view and his view of Truth, why is the way he chooses to respond to relativism by taking an indirect way and why the public sphere have priority over private sphere . In addition to explaining Rorty's view of truth and how he responds to relativism, the paper also clarified the connection of Rorty's view in some areas.
