||The idea of this study is , regardless of the city, suburban or rural, the relationship between Landscape and Local place from urban design should (or should not) have relationships with cultural, historical context various places related, even though these places are not iconic, indicative, not even with the value of cultural tourism or soft landscape, but those of that are related to the local life of the humanities or the natural.|
Commenting on the development, it seems that only two poles of "Remove" or "Save". It seems that there is no flexibility the gray space can exists. Because of that, can the cultural sector participate in the urban planning system? Or can the urban planning sector considerate to add the local life aspect of the various context as much as possible , whether or not the urban planning area, or any area ?I hope public sector can add the appropriate design criteria. The intention of urban planning is to meet local needs and style for the biggest consideration, then why we often admire foreign cities (especially "Europe", "Japan"), but feel disgust of our residence place?
"Space" plus "fact of life" that is involved in the humanities, and become a "place" (Cresswell, 2004). Urban and rural planning in Taiwan today have tried to add this concept; the appearances presented now are a matter of opinion. we hope that all localities have their own characteristics, but did not follow the context of history, sometimes be self-righteous. Further, people create a space has no sense of place, but we cannot note it easily . Worse still, perhaps when we live in the urban and rural landscape which are unbalanced for a long time, people will lost their sense of place and the ability of place perception.
This study was hoped that through observations of Policies and Practices to identify the factors which uneven the landscapes of Taiwan and Tainan.
Addition to try to clarify the role of concept of "sense of place" more clearly in the landscape, this research try to find the possibilities of matching the concept of "authenticity" to the policy of rural and urban planning as well as. I also put one case of European city for comparison in this study .
The results found that the Taiwan law is expressly law, sense of place and authenticity must be measured, then it is possible to add to law. If you want to use principle norms like British, the possibility is very low.
Further, individual land development rights of private property are covered in Taiwan's law system. It is difficult to guide the development of the public nature of the landscape.
