He was known as the foremost guitar composers, with over one hundred guitar compositions. Due to the political issues, he had to imigrat to the United States in 1939, and became a film composer. This Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, Op. 128 was written in 1945 and was one of the few wind instrumental works. This work features exotic melodies, elegant lines, and technical challenges.
