||To track back to the history of low temperature logistic in Taiwan, they were managed and set up in the factory internal warehouse by the most of Food Company. From there, refrigerated trucks transferred the food to every single agent or dealer and they will do the distribution by themselves. Function wise, it is just on the stage of “Transportation and Storage” to logistic distribution system.|
Since we entered into WTO, every kind of frozen and cold storage food flood into domestic market freely. It creates a lot of demanding on logistic service; therefore, low-temperature logistic warehouse center becomes an upstart. For example, 統一, 大榮貨運 and 裕國, now they have gone across this new business field. The operation of the distribution channel based on logistic center not only can save money and cost for enterprise, but also seize new business opportunity. In sequence of supply chain, low-temperature logistic center is coming stage right after the primary frozen and cold storage food pelt down on the temperature hastily and is also a place for frozen food to wait for distribution with longer duration. Therefore, it play an important role for assuring products quality. It is worth to pay more attention to the future development of low-temperature logistic center is a trend nowadays which can expedite the cold storage or frozen food to flow in the market rapidly and grow prosperously.
In chapter 3, this research precedes the case study of CHIA FONG FROZEN FOOD INC. by discussing their strategic planning in logistic and analyzing their logistic system with EIQRSTC method. With an aim to provide a more detailed planning in the establishment of a logistics center and its interior layout, the final part of this research has employed the four steps to set up a logistics center, mentioned in the book “物流經營管理實物” published by the Department of Commerce of Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan.
