  • Abstract The aim of this study is to develop the unlimited potential of Houseleek by raising consumer’s awareness on the effectiveness of this particular plant and bring the additional value to Houseleek by increasing the range of products and hence, boost the income of rural farmers and bring ample job opportunities which will lead to a positive development on the rural economy and contribute to the local community and society.
      By adopting a customer-oriented marketing approach, the products are designed by using the Marketing Mix 4P’s (Product, Price, Place and Promotion) to match customers’ needs. Through conducting focus group interviews with Kaohsiung’s Wah Lee Industrial Corp. and Famicloud companies in Taipei, the Houseleek proposal is made based on the product design and the relationship between the Marketing Mix 4P’s as well as the customers’ purchase decisions.
