  • Abstract The design of a business model is often the key to success in starting up businesses, but how to design a good business model is always a challenge. In recent years, the aging population has attracted more and more attention to the issue of health management. Management of electronic health records (her) becomes a trend, but not much research has studied its proper business model.
    The main purpose of this study was to propose a business model in personal health management website and analyzed its feasibility to meet the needs of the general public. This study was built based on Osterwalder's business model elements, including value proposition, customer relations, customer segmentation, channels, revenue streams, key activities, key partners, key resources, and cost structure.
    We determine consumer requirements of health management website from a market survey, built a prototype system, and then evaluate the feasibility of the system through interviews with experts in healthcare and venture fund managers. The result indicates that such a business model can meet the need of its target customers.
    The main contribution of this study includes the design of a feasible business model in health management, and the steps of planning business model which can be used as a reference for future research.
