||In this study, a new folding walker is designed to improve the problems of large volume and difficult to fold in the general market, then it can be folded easily and portable folding. So that it can improve the independence and convenience of life for the elderly or those with reduced mobility to reduce the burden and accidental falls.|
In this study, two walkers are designed for indoor and outdoor respectively. A three-wheeled walker which have higher operability is need because of the small interior space. In addition, a four-wheeled walker which have higher stability is need because of the outside jolt road. First, design 3D model and size with Pro/Engineer, then create a mathematical model to test the walker static stability and calculate the critical angle in dump walker with Matlab to check the walker whether conforms the standard of CNS static stability test, in the end, according to the analysis of stress and deformation in Pro/e Mechanica can make sure whether it is defective or broken in the structure of the walker.
In this study, the new folding structure can be folded to the minimum volume in different way. A four-wheeled walker uses the front and rear combine left and right folding way to achieve the goal of storage. Finally, the new three-wheeled walker or four-wheeled walker forward tilt and side tilt stability are higher than Trust Care walker.
