||Investigate the Developing Strategy of SMEs in Resin Industry with Resource-Base Theory － A Case of D Company|

||This study takes the perspective of Resource-Based View (RBV) to investigate the importance of different resources to the resin industry, surveying small and medium-size firms in the resin industry in Taiwan. This study uses materials collected from case study, sampling and survey to inspect the above and verify with analyzed result of resource from case study. Through the strategy analyzing frame of RBV, this study provides suggestions and references for small and medium-size firms in the resin industry by investigating the insufficiency of resource.|
This study will cover 3 main topics:
1.The characteristics of resin industry.
2.The differences in weights of importance to resources between case studied company and other firms in the same industry.
3.Discovering the suitable developing strategy through RBV.
To the first topic, this study concludes eight unique characteristics of resin industry in Taiwan through inspecting the supply chain relation and developing trend; The second topic concludes with the key success factors of developing new product in small and medium-size resin firms by comparing the difference in importance cognition between case study company and other firms in the industry; In the end, this study reveals the suitable developing strategy for small and medium-size firms in resin industry through the breach discovered by applying strategy analyze framework of RBV to the case.
Overall, this study uses case study to reveal the key factor of resource to resin industry in Taiwan while discovering the suitable developing strategy. This study also provides new research topics to future research studying on developing strategy of resin industry.
