  • Abstract The careness to citizen right and personal safety increases with the economy development, more education and awareness of consumer consciousness in Taiwan. The issues related to medical service, drug and food safety are getting attention by Taiwan citizen now. To assure citizen health, the Health administration is strenthening the management and auditing on medical service affair, pharmaceutical affair, food safety, smoking control and hygiene management of food business; in addition, to narrow and level the function differences of Health Service Station betweenn urban and rural area, after the merger of Kaohsiung City and Kaohsiung Hsien (County) in 2010, the new Kaohsiung Bureau of Health has implemented a policy of "Service Function Transformation of Health Service Station". The Bureau of Health has authorized some business to each Health Service Station for better service to local citizen; Since then, the Hygiene Auditor at Health Service Station has taken more auditing activities and complexities. This study is to explore the job knowledge, job satisfaction and auditing behavior of Hygiene Auditor as reference of annual planning of Bureau of Health.
      This study is a crossed-sectional reserch. It adopts a Survey earch method by using a structured questionnaire to collect information. The survey expert validity (CVI) is 0.896. There are four parts for the questionnaire; they are: basic profile of Hygiene Auditor, Job Knowledge (Cronbach alpha value is 0.928), Job Satisfaction (Cronbach alpha value is 0.928), and Auditing Behavior (Cronbach alpha value is 0.943). The targeted people are the responsible ublic servant at section II of forty (40) Health Service Stations under thirty-eight (38) Districts of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. All 102 issued questionnaires were returned but five (5) are invalid, 97 are valid, the valid rate is 95.1%. These collected valid data are analyzed by using SPSS (Window version 17.0). The followings are used as analysis method: Descriptive Statistics, Independent Samples/ t-Test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Multiple Regression Analysis.
      This study finds the former Kaohsiung City Hygiene Autitor has more job knowledge than who were Hygiene Auditor of Kaohsiung Hsien (County).the job satisfaction and auditing behavior had no significant difference.
