  • Abstract Due to geographic proximity, the same habits, culture and language, the communication among people and trade exchange cross Taiwan Straits have increased vastly, since 2008 President Ma Ying-jeou was in office. In the meanwhile, the government of both sides had to deal with various types of crimes for protection the interest of their people. As the outlaws use the loopholes of the systems from both sides, the growth of cross-border crime was, is and will be severely impacting the order of the communication and exchange across Straits. The police office cross Taiwan Straits should cooperate in fighting against crimes, sign related legal agreements for joint fight against crimes and make those cooperation and agreements to be institutionalized. This thesis is to examine the achievements and difficulties in joint fight against crimes cross Taiwan Straits in aspects of the political and economic interactions, the establishment and execution of joint fight against crimes, and the cases of joint fight against crimes. To the conclusion, some suggestions to manage the difficulties are deeply analyzed.
