  • Abstract In this study, we propose a liquid-crystal Fresnel lens based on optoelectronic film. The optoelectronic film lead to photo-induced conductivity of liquid crystal cell. When a voltage applies in the cell, the liquid crystal molecules will be driven in that photo-illuminated area. We fabricate a Fresnel lens by using a Sagnac interference pattern of liked Fresnel zone to irradiate on the liquid crystal cell with an optoelectronic film. The focal length of liquid crystal Fresnel lens can be tunable via varying sizes of Sagnac interference pattern. The diffraction efficiency of liquid crystal Fresnel lens can be tuned by applying electric flied and photon, respectively. The liquid crystal Fresnel lens has a high diffraction efficiency at the focal point.
