  • Abstract This study is aimed to explore the relationships among Hospital Managers’ Positive Leadership, Optimism and Self-Efficacy: Examples of Kaohsiung and Pingtung Areas. In this study, there are 291 effective questionnaires from five hospitals. Collecting data were analyzed by the statistical methods of descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and regression. In order to strengthen the research, selecting four people to interview.
    The conclusions are as follows:
    1. Hospital Managers’ Positive Leadership, Optimism and Self-Efficacy perceived by the medical staffs from hospital in Kaohsiung and Pingtung Areas are all significantly above theoretical average.
    2. Medical staffs with different age, education and levels of hospital have significantly different perception in Managers’ Positive Leadership.
    3. Medical staffs with different age, education, years of service and salary have significantly different perception in Optimism.
    4. Medical staffs with different education, years of service , salary and levels of hospital have significantly different perception in Self-Efficacy.
    5. There is a positive correlation between every two variables of Managers’ Positive Leadership, Optimism and Self-Efficacy.
    6. Managers’ Positive Leadership, Optimism has the significant prediction toward Self-Efficacy.
