||Development of social economy emerges a market of factory tourism industry. Once the factories are open to tourists, it provides a new interesting kind of tour. It offers opportunities for manufacturers to improve their image and to promote their products to general public. Additionally, it creates jobs for business process re-engineering. Nowadays, factory tourism industry gains attention in terms of its strength of upraising local industries to a higher level. Enterprises and local government co-operate on widening range of local tourism attractions under this new concept. Hence it delivers opportunities for enterprise expansion and regional development.|
In 2003, central district office of Industry Bureau, Economy Department advanced the mode of tourism factory. It combines with manufactory and tourism factors with experience of unique enterprise history. It has become a visit trend of native and foreign visitors. With regards of business expansion to factory tourism, it is popular for entrepreneurs to debate on how to propose a factory tour for success.
City council of Kaohsiung is advancing tourism factory. This research bases on intensive interviews, factory tour visits in Kaohsiung and data analysis. There are key factors enclosed about successful transformation to a factory tour at a factory. Through the viewpoint of design thinking and experiential marketing, I express my good wishes to those enterprises and hope my research is able to assist them.
