  • Abstract With the development of environment in Taiwan, the products, services, distribution patterns and even business strategy could be likely learned and imitated in the highly competitive business environment. Only holding the perfect employee learning and development to be managing with an aim to become a perpetual going-concern company. The responsibility of middle manager level in the organization will be is given more and more important. The kinds of these people usually have the ability that is rich, valuable and even harder to be imitated and replicated and these capabilities are often the main source for organizational competitive advantage. It became higher focus on issues increasingly to retain middle managers with high performance. In this study, high performance work system and organizational performance will be exported to be influence factors of retention for middle managers of enterprises.
       We surveyed from human resource department member and middle manager each company through questionnaires and HLM(Hierarchical Linear Modeling). Finally, we abtained an effective sample of 40 companies with 207 samples. Based on the findings, the practical implications, reserrch limitation and suggestions as a reference for future related study are addressed.
