Title Investigation of POSS/CNTs Nanocomposite with Pyrene-functionalized Polybenzoxazine via Supramolecular Interaction

  • Abstract In this study, we synthesized a new benzoxazine compound (Py-Bz-T), which was prepared from Py-Bz-OH for two steps reaction. 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to confirm the chemical structure. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and FTIR were used to investigate the curing behavior of Py-Bz-T. Thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) were used to investigate the thermo properties. The import of thymine functional group increased the physical cross-linking density and better thermal properties. Ultraviolet/Visible Spectrophotometer (UV/Vis) and Photoluminescence (PL) were used to investigate the optical properties.
     First, we prepared Py-Bz-T/OBA-POSS and Py-Bz-T/SWCNTs nanocomposite. NMR and FT-IR were used to investigate the hydrogen bonding interactions of adenine (A) and thymine (T). Wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXD) was used to investigate the phase behavior. For Py-Bz-T/SWCNTs nanocomposite, PL and TGA were used to investigate optical and thermal behavior. Furthermore, we prepared Py-Bz-T/OBA-POSS/SWCNTs nanocomposite. Nanocomposite was dispersed in THF by the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) examination. PL, DSC and TGA were used to investigate optical and thermal behavior of Py-Bz-T/OBA-POSS/SWCNTs nanocomposite.
