||The Influence of Electronic Commerce on Wealth Management of Securities Industry|

||Driven by customer’s habit, developing in Financial Technology (FinTech), and promoted by governments, the wealth management in securities industry should utilize Electronic commerce (E-commerce) well to take advantages in next decade. This study deployed semi-structured interview to comprehend views of senior managers in securities industry and document analysis in this field worldwide, such that we could conclude development of wealth management now and understand how to apply E-commerce in securities industry.|
Based on interviews with senior managers, E-commerce does bring positive effect to wealth management of securities industry; securities industry in Taiwan should optimize E-commerce platform and integrate resources in each department to conduct differentiation strategy and obtain first-mover advantage. The experts thought that Robo-advisor in financial planning services, Internet finance, and cross-selling or joint marketing via Fintech would be the most essential trends in wealth management.
It is expected the securities industry will obtain competitive advantage and expand market size via FinTech in wealth management. This study suggested that government should loosen regulations in FinTech and incorporate opinions from industry to complete norms in FinTech and E-commerce platform, and securities industry should optimize and integrate E-commerce platform to take lead in wealth management.
