  • Abstract   Because the development and application of the Internet, the Bulletin Boards System are more growth than before. For example, PTT has become the important of knowledge communication and exchange platform in the modern society. In the world of Internet, People communicate with others and look for the knowledge they want. People interact with others in order to varied purpose and make the communication of information unrestricted by time and space.
      A successful Network Virtual Community not only attracts users participation but it is also important to remained users, and encourage users post text voluntarily and interact with members. Based on this, our study combine the Social Capital Theory with the Online Social Support Theory to put PTT Anti-Cancer Board’s members continue sharing the explicative model of the Online Social Support, and attempts to look for the factor of encourage PTT Anti-Cancer Board’s members participate in the Online Social Support activities, and provide an in depth academic research and reference of correlative policy in the future affairs.
     The purpose of this study explore PTT Anti-Cancer Board’s that the knowledge of cancer and own suffered cancer experience to provide the "action-facilitating" social support and "nurturant" social support have effects; the reciprocal and assurance to provide the "action-facilitating" social support and "nurturant" social support have effects; the social interaction ties to provide the "action-facilitating" social support and "nurturant" social support have effects.
    The samples of this study are who have ever reply to any other texts on PTT Anti-Cancer Board. Data collected by structured questionnaire on website survey, and then we use SPSS 17.0 and SmartPLS 2.0 to analyze it.
    Our empirical results showed:
    (1) Knowledge of cancer were positively associated with "action-facilitating" social support.
    (2) Knowledge of cancer did not have significant impact on "nurturant" social support.
    (3) Own suffered cancer experience were positively associated with "action-facilitating" social support.
    (4) Own suffered cancer experience were positively associated with "nurturant" social support.
    (5) Reciprocal were positively associated with "action-facilitating" social support.
    (6) Reciprocal were positively associated with "nurturant" social support.
    (7) Assurance were positively associated with "action-facilitating" social support.
    (8) Assurance were positively associated with "nurturant" social support.
    (9) Social interaction ties were positively associated with "action-facilitating" social support.
    (10) Social interaction ties were positively associated with "nurturant" social support.
