  • Abstract The purpose of this study is to use multi-functional optical fiber processing platform to produce a fiber coupler composed of solid-core fibers and hollow-core fibers, and utilize theory and simulation to analyze the fused fiber coupler device. The characteristics of this coupler is a fiber coupler in which a single-mode fiber replaced by the hollow-core fiber manufactured by laboratory. The hollow-core fibers were flowed into the mixed solution of toluene and ethanol. The specific wavelength can be coupled to the hollow-core fiber due to the characteristics of the mixed solution. The spectral bandwidth and the coupling power of the fiber coupler composed of solid-core fibers and hollow-core fibers has been analyzed theoretically and demonstrated. The coupling wavelength and spectral bandwidth can be tuned as we changing the characteristics of the hollow core of the fused fiber coupler device.
