||A Dynamic CRE and ABS Scheme to Enhance Network Capacity in LTE-Advanced Heterogeneous Networks|

||With the popularity of wireless multimedia service, the wireless network base station may be overloaded in high population density region. There is an economical way for operators is to set up more and more small cells to offload user traffic and increase system capacity. However, inter cell interference is a challenge in the heterogeneous network.|
In this thesis we proposed a novel scheme that integrates the dynamic cell range expansion (CRE) and the dynamic almost blank subframe (ABS) schemes based on 3GPP R10. The proposed scheme can automatically adjust the CRE bias value according to the cell traffic load, to ensure that users can obtain resource to transmit data, when they are offloaded to the small cell. Furthermore, the proposed ABS scheme can choose a suitable ABS ratio to get the highest system capacity.
The proposed CRE scheme can completely avoid that offloaded users cannot get enough resource. The proposed CRE and ABS scheme can improve 13.9% of system capacity more than 3GPP R10 and can improve 11.7% of system capacity more than the existing algorithm.
