台灣的證券投資信託事業產業市場至今將近35個年頭，主管機關曾經發放51張證券投資信託公司營業執照，由於規模經濟影響造成新投信公司業務成長艱辛，綜觀民國107年底僅存39家投信公司，也可從民國107年年度財報發現有投信公司一年淨利高達新台幣10億元，也有投信公司持續虧損中，可見這產業競爭之激烈。
而這35年來，從一開始的4家老投信公司到現在的39家投信公司、從單一類型單一國家單一幣別產品到現今投資多國多元多幣別產品，即便是行政或投資營運作業包括基金結帳淨值計算、基金事（股）務、人員招募、薪工計算、資訊技術、交易下單執行、投資決策分析等也逐步學習國際市場走向委外轉嫁營運風險；成長創新進步速度之快，皆拜科技及投資觀念抬頭所賜。
本研究係以實務作業流程為出發點，以研究生在業界經驗與個案公司在外資股東背景下分析比較，如何運用集團資源在國際市場實務模式及既有科技為台灣投信產業創新寫下一頁？亦供日後有所啟發。

It's been almost 35 years since the first Securities Investment Trust companies were founded in Taiwan. In the history of the industry, there were up to 51 payers existing at the same time. Nevertheless, the economic scale of the Taiwan market is not capable to sustain so many players. As of the end of year 2018, only 39 of them stayed in the industry with the annual profits ranged from negative numbers to 1 Billion NTD. The status quo of the industry is still highly competitive.
In the past 35 years, this industry was quickly developed. The numbers of funds and fund companies as well as the variety of fund kinds are all the evidences of the industry growing. The Investment Operation and Administration, such as Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency Service, Employee Recruitment, Incentive Program, IT Technology, Trading Execute and Investment Analysis, they also made good progress at. By following the global market trend, now more and more of these works are outsourced to the 3rd parties. All of the achievements above-mentioned are due to the innovative technology and investors' awareness and understanding about the investment.
This research aims to provide the insights of outsourcing models to the players in this industry and hopefully can inspire them in some ways. This shall be done by diving into the select cases. We will see how business units in a conglomerate leverage the shared resources to achieve the goals of simplifying procedures, reducing system building-up costs, transferring operational risk and increasing efficiency by following global market practices and making good use of the technology.
