台灣曾是製鞋王國，隨著經濟環境的快速成長與變動加上開放赴大陸及東南亞等新興國家的投資優惠措施，我國製鞋工業開始向外轉移至中國大陸與東南亞地區等地設立工廠，創造了許多就業機會及城市開發。製鞋工業為勞力密集產業而經由各地區的政經成熟發展，人工、物料、物流成本及環保規範是工廠必須不斷面臨的課題，所以跨國佈局的地點選擇是非常重要的經營管理策略的議題。

本研究利用波特五力分析模型進行評估孟加拉製鞋產業的競爭程度，包括競爭者、人文、地理、經濟現況、市場規模、招商優惠政策、環保規範限制議題，並以鑽石理論分析孟加拉的國際競爭力、SWOT分析個案公司的競爭優劣勢，找出成功的進入模式及經營關鍵的因素。再運用專家深度訪談方法，針對孟加拉當地台資企業、經銷商、製鞋工廠等供應鏈進行商情收集與分析。

透過本研究的成果，希望相關產業在進入孟加拉市場，可有遵循的方向模式並能有效的擬定投資策略，為欲進入孟加拉市場的企業做為資訊及效益評估的參考。

Taiwan used to be the kingdom of shoemaking, with the quick increment and change of economic environment and beneficial investment policies in investing China and Southeast Asia emerging countries, Taiwan shoe industry has expanded factories in both China and Southeast Asia area and boosted the city prosperity and job opportunities therein. Shoe manufacturing industry is a labor-intensive industry, and the cost for labor, material, logistic, and environment regulation is consistently a dilemma for Taiwan capital shoe factories once the region’s politics and economy become mature. Hence, the location selection for global layout plan will be an extremely important operating and management strategy issue.

This research will utilize Michael Porter's five forces model to evaluate the Bangladesh shoe industry, including competitors, humanities, geography, current economic situation, market scale, beneficial investment policy, and environmental protection issue etc. This research will also apply Diamond theory to analyze Bangladesh’s national competitiveness, and SWOT analysis to dissect a case company’s competitive strength to find the way to enter the business and the key factor to success. Moreover, this research will adopt expert interview to focus on the shoe industry supply chain including local Taiwan capital corporations, dealers, and shoe manufacturing factories in Bangladesh to collect research information.

Through the result of this research, it hopes to draw up an efficient mode and investment strategy for related industries entering the Bangladesh market and provide the assessment as a reference for industries which are willing to join the Bangladesh market.
