Abstract
This study explores the relations between the Big Five personality model, self-report Positive and Negative Affect (PANAS), and workplace well-being among employees working at coworking spaces (offices). Both quantitative and qualitative models were employed in the study. Survey and interview participants come from the two target countries, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. After analyzing 55 valid responses and 4 semi-structured interviews, the results revealed extraversion and openness had positive correlations to PA, and neuroticism had a positive correlation to NA. Furthermore, a positive association was found between PA and workplace well-being, whereas, a negative association was between NA and workplace well-being. The study could be helpful for coworking space employees, startups and corporate managers to (a) gain insights of coworking spaces from current employees’ perspectives and (b) decide employees of which personality can work more effectively in coworking spaces.
